Frequently asked questions about WeWere.

WeWere is a shared disposable camera: one QR code, and your guests fill the same album from their browser. Don’t see your question? Email us.

Only the host needs the app, on iPhone. Your guests have nothing to install.

Two little girls laugh, sitting on the garden steps.
Do my guests need to install an app?

No. They scan the QR or open the link, sign in with Apple or Google, and the camera opens in their browser, on iPhone and Android alike. Only the host needs the app, on iPhone.

Do they need an account?

Not a new one: they sign in with the Apple or Google account they already have, in one tap. Nothing to create, no password to remember.

Can the host use Android?

Not yet — the host app is on iPhone (App Store). Guests, though, join from any phone, iPhone or Android.

Do guests need a signal at the venue?

Yes. Guests need a connection, 4G or Wi-Fi, to upload their photos. A photo taken with no signal is saved and sends itself as soon as the connection is back — just keep the page open. If the venue has poor coverage, put the Wi-Fi details on the table card.

Are photos visible live?

Yes, in live mode: every photo lands in the album as soon as it’s taken. In reveal mode, the host picks the time the photos are unveiled. From the app, the host can also project the album on the venue screen with the live wall, included from the 300-photo tier up — see how to project the photos on a screen.

How many photos can guests take?

There’s no limit per guest. The host picks a total number of photos for the whole event, from 40 (free) to 2,500, and everyone shoots from that one shared counter, first come, first served. As a guide, count 5 to 8 photos per guest. Guests are unlimited on every tier.

What’s the photo quality?

The guest’s camera resolution, downloadable for free at full resolution. In the app, photos show with the film stock the host picked for the event — Original, 35mm, Black & White, Polaroid or 90s — and the orange date stamp of a real disposable.

How long does the album stay open?

For 45 days. Then the album goes offline: no one can view it or add photos anymore. Until then, everyone can download what they want, for free. To keep it online for a year instead, there’s the Keep one year option: $2.99 if you add it when creating a paid event, $5.99 if you add it later. One payment, not a subscription.

Who can see the album?

Only the members of the event — the people who joined with the link or the QR. Nothing is public or indexed. The host can remove a guest at any time.

Can I delete a photo?

Yes, the host can remove any photo at any time. Anyone can also report a photo. Deleted files are erased within 30 days.

How does payment work?

Guests are unlimited on every tier: the host pays for a total number of photos. Free for 40 photos, then one payment per event through the App Store: from $2.99 for 150 photos to $29.99 for 2,500. No subscription. See pricing. If you run events for clients, it’s WeWere Pro, priced on request.

What happens when the album is full?

The host is warned in the app before the album is full, and again when it is. Once it’s full, nobody can take or add a photo until the host adds some: in the event settings, 100 more photos for $2.99 or 500 for $9.99, in a few taps. Only the host ever pays; a guest never buys anything.

Where is the data hosted?

In Europe (Supabase and Cloudflare R2). No ads, and we never sell your data.
